About ICAN Construction & Renovation

Built on Craftsmanship. Driven by Trust.

Since 2005, ICAN Construction and Renovation has helped homeowners transform how they live by creating spaces that feel better, function better, and last longer.
Founder Ryan Ingimundson built the company on clear principles: do exceptional work, communicate openly, and treat every home like it matters; because it does. Trained as an interprovincial Red Seal carpenter at Red River College in the early 1990s, Ryan brings decades of real job-site experience and hands-on leadership to every project.
The result is a company known for precision, accountability, and results homeowners can see and feel every day.

Our Process

A Better Building Experience

Great projects start with listening, and that’s exactly where ICAN begins.
From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, the team plans carefully, communicates clearly, and manages every detail with purpose. Clients stay informed and involved throughout the process, with direct access to designers, project coordinators, and site supervisors.
Licensed professionals. Full transparency. No surprises. Just a well-run project from start to finish.

Consult

Every project begins with a detailed conversation about your goals, budget, timeline, and expectations. ICAN listens carefully, evaluates the scope, and provides clear direction so the next steps are defined and realistic.

Design

Plans are developed with practicality, precision, and long-term durability in mind. ICAN works closely with designers and consultants to ensure drawings, materials, and specifications are clear before construction begins.

Build

Construction is managed with discipline, coordination, and consistent on-site supervision. Trades are scheduled efficiently, quality is monitored closely, and clients receive regular updates at every stage.

Where We Work, And What We Build

ICAN proudly serves homeowners across Winnipeg and surrounding Manitoba cottage and recreation regions, including Lake of the Woods, Gimli, and Kenora and has worked all over the far north in remote locations.
Projects typically include custom homes, major renovations, and large-scale residential transformations. These are not small updates; they are meaningful investments designed for long-term value and everyday comfort.

Protection, Accountability, and Peace of Mind

Professional standards are built into every project. ICAN provides:
●    2-year warranty on renovation work
●    Approximately $5 million in liability insurance
●    Full workers’ compensation coverage
Clients move forward with confidence knowing their home — and their investment — is protected.

Founder Spotlight: The Vision Behind the Craft

Ryan Ingimundson, founder of ICAN Construction & Renovation

Long before ICAN Construction & Renovation became known for exceptional residential construction and renovation, it began with one craftsman who believed homeowners deserved better.
Ryan Ingimundson built his career on real job sites, learning firsthand what separates a good build from a truly great one. After training as an interprovincial Red Seal carpenter at Red River College in the early 1990s, he spent years refining his skills across Canada, mastering both the technical precision and the practical problem-solving that complex residential projects demand.
But skill alone wasn’t enough. Ryan saw a gap in the industry. Homeowners wanted more than construction expertise. They wanted honesty. Clear communication. A builder who listened. A process they could trust.
So in 2005, he founded ICAN to deliver exactly that.
From the beginning, Ryan built the company around craftsmanship, accountability, and respect for the people behind every project. He remains closely involved, guiding projects with the same hands-on mindset that shaped his career from day one.
Today, that commitment continues to define every home ICAN builds and every space it transforms. Because for Ryan, construction has never been only about structures. It’s about creating places where life happens: comfortably, beautifully, and built to last.
